FAQs

If I buy a transportable home, can I be eligible for the First Home Owners Grant?
Absolutely!  Any signed contract on a Transtate home is eligible for Government grants.

What is the difference between a Transtate home and a kit home?
Our homes are fully constructed at our premises in Toowoomba.  Upon completion, the home is delivered to your site, stumped and ready for connection to external services.

What materials do you use for your framing structure?
We build our homes with a steel sub-floor and use cypress pine frames & trusses.  This has the benefit of being naturally termite resistant and it’s also a renewable resource.

Will tiles crack during transport of a home?
Generally not.  However, any imperfections caused during transport are repaired by our experienced maintenance team before handover of your home.

Are fixtures and fittings included in the price?
Most definitely!  Please refer to our home inclusions list for details.

Can I make any changes to the house plans you have available?
You can make alterations to any of our plans.  Alternatively, you can custom design your own new home!

How far will you travel to deliver your homes?
Almost anywhere in Queensland!  Please contact the office for any interstate requirements.

How long does it take to build my home?
9-12 weeks from council approval.
